Paris Street Photography – with Hans and Peter

Last week Thursday I went to Paris “City” with my brother and a good friend of mine. We left quite early in the morning about 1AM and arrived around 09AM in Paris. We checked into the Hotel and we were on our way around 10AM.

I’ve selected a couple of photos that I have taken during these two days. I’m still editing the night shots of the Paris Louvre Museum and the Eiffel tower. These I will post sometime around the weekend

So stay tuned!

For those that are interested on a technical level, all most all pictures are taken with a Canon 5d MII with a 50mm 1.2 lens. Sometime I changed between the 50mm 1.2 and 16-35mm 2.8 for a large angle.

In general I applied the sunny 16 rules, so most of the time I'm @:-

  • Aperture f/5.6 - f/8
  • ISO 200
  • Shutter speed between 1/200 second and a 1/250 of a second.

Regarding focusing, I always use my selective focus points and recompose when necessary (and if I have the time). Focusing with the 5d MII is a pain in the behind …. When there is not enough available light I will switch back center focus point and recompose from there.

If you have any questions please drop a note.
